If you loved God’s Not Dead, then you’ll be thrilled to know that God’s Not Dead 2  is on its way to movie theaters! God’s Not Dead 2 is the sequel to the highest-grossing independent faith film of 2014. In a world that begs us to conform to its ways this movie is so relevant to a faith believers walk.

Need Some Inspiration? See The New Movie Release “Greater” The Story of Brandon Burlsworth

Greater one-sheet

With 2016 underway we can all use a little inspiration to reminds us that nothing is impossible when our faith is rooted in Christ, we have a dream and a passion to work towards making our dream a reality. You won’t want to miss,“Greater,”  the story of Brandon Burlsworth, the unlikely star football player at the University of Arkansas whose inspiring life and legacy taught family, friends and fans about the greater purposes and lasting impact of a life lived for God.

Brandon Burlsworth (newcomer Chris Severio) had a dream, to play for the Arkansas Razorbacks, but wasn’t considered even good enough to play Division I football. That didn’t deter Brandon. Instead fueled by faith, determination and the support of his older brother Marty (Neal McDonough) and his struggling single mom, Barbara (Leslie Easterbrook),  he takes a huge risk by walking on to the team in 1994. He succeeds in the face of staggering odds, and by the end of his college career, Burlsworth was not only a star player in the SEC, but he was also a 1st Team All-American.  He was then taken as an early pick in the 1999 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. Then tragedy hits and the real test of faith comes that no one saw coming.

Take a look at the trailer for, “Greater,” and make a date to see it with your friends, family, or church on January 29th.

Need Inspiration? See WOODLAWN!

I had the pleasure of being able to view the movie, “WOODLAWN,” before it hit movie theaters last Friday. This was by far one of the most inspiring, touching and exhilarating films I’ve seen in 2015. If you are a football fan you will love this movie, if you are a Christian you will love this movie, if you just need to be inspired you will love this movie…YOU WILL JUST LOVE THIS MOVIE! From Pure Flix (GOD’S NOT DEAD, DO YOU BELIEVE?), Roma Downey and Mark Burnett (THE BIBLE, SON OF GOD) and the Erwin Brothers (MOM’S NIGHT OUT, OCTOBER BABY) comes WOODLAWN, a high school football drama and a remarkable true story that happened in the early 1970s in Birmingham, Alabama when racism and hate ran rapid. This movie shows us that when a  spiritual awakening takes place love and forgiveness replaces hate and anger. It reminds you that when people bond in love and the unity of Christ they can overcome any obstacles, hate simply does not stand a chance. Something we all need to reminded of in this day and age.

The movie centers around the Woodlawn football team players who are struggling not only on the football field, but with one another. Until one day at football camp when they are introduced to Hank, a sports chaplain who ends up practically converting the whole football team into accepting Christ. This spiritual awakening has a ripple effect that is beautiful to watch as you see barriers being broken, respect growing, and sportsmanship at it’s finest. At the heart of the movie is Tony Nathan (Caleb Castille) a black star running back who’s humble nature is absolutely endearing to watch. As the two rivaling teams get ready to battle at the packed stadium of 42,000 fans you realize just how significant this moment in time was to a city who had been ravaged by racism and hate. This is a Christian film about hope and faith, but anyone can relate to this storyline because it crosses all divides.  I was blown away by this film and it will definitely be in my movie library.  If there is one movie you see this year, WOODLAWN should be the one! Take a look at the trailer and plan to see it soon!

If you saw its prequel than you already know why you’ll want to catch this in theaters. In today’s cultural climate this movie about faith and what it means to stand in your faith is right on time!

The film takes audiences back to Hope Springs, Arkansas to Martin Luther King Jr. High School. However, conflict arises when Brooke asks an honest question about Jesus during a lesson Grace is teaching about Dr. King and Gandhi. Not everyone is happy with Grace’s answer which eventually leads her into trouble with the principal (Robin Givens) and superintendent. Once they team up with an attorney who has no love for God, Grace faces an epic court case. She teams up with a sympathetic and charismatic defense lawyer (Jessie Metcalfe) and faces the biggest battle of her life that could cost her the career she loves—and expel God from the classroom once and for all.

Catch the Premiere of Signed Sealed Delivered From Paris With Love On Hallmark Tonight!

Signed Sealed Delivered: From Paris With Love Premieres Tonight at 9 pm ET/PT 8 CT and 11 AM ET on The Hallmark  Movies and Mystery Channel!

If you’re looking for a warm hearted movie to curl up on the couch with a bowl of popcorn to then you’ll want to catch the new movie, “Signed Sealed Delivered: From Paris With Love.” I had the pleasure of previewing this movie written by Martha Williamson who also worked on Touched by an Angel. This is a refreshing  story centered around four wonderfully written characters. Oliver (Eric Mabius) a lead postal detective  with a charming old world demeanor. He’s waiting patiently for his wife, Holly (Poppy Montgomery) who has left him to live in Paris to pursue her dreams. Oliver copes through his faith and taking his job with his co-workers very seriously whose goal is to deliver letters that have been lost through the postal mail. Shane,(Kristin Booth), Rita (Crystal Lowe) and Norman ( Geoff Gustafson) who work along with Oliver are also delightful and are navigating through their own feelings of love and their own faith.

Life gets shaken up when Holly arrives in town and Oliver has to face the fate of his own marriage. The free spirited Rita and the love able and shy Norman dance around their feelings for one another while Shane can’t deny that her friendship with Oliver is special and different, but respects the sanctity of his marriage. This movie is beautifully complex and   The relationships are woven together intricately in a meaningful way that will draw you into these character’s lives. The movie explores the fragility and strength of love along with  the forgiveness that it requires.

When the movie was over I found myself wanting to watch more and luckily I can because it will be a 10 part series on Hallmark! I can’t wait to see how these postal detectives deliver letters that will give us more stories of love and faith and to see what happens between Oliver and Shane and Rita and Norman.
