Don’t Miss Tomorrow’s Release of the Heartwarming Movie, “Goodbye Christopher Robin,”

Don’t miss this heartwarming story about  A.A. Milne, an author, and veteran of The Great War suffering from PTSD who was inspired by his son to create the delightful stories of Winnie the Pooh and the characters who have come to reside on our bookshelves that we’ve read over and over again.

The film is being released tomorrow, Friday, October 13th nationwide! Take the kids to see what is sure to be a treat! Just take a look at the clip provided by Grace Hill Media and you will definitely want to get in movie line for the popcorn and snacks!

This is one movie that I can’t wait to take my daughter to see, especially after seeing the original stuffed animals on display in the children’s section at the New York Public Library this past summer! Just take a look at how lovely they are! Now, how can’t you want to see what inspired the story behind these adorable treasures!

AWESOME GIVEAWAY CHRISTMAS GIVEAWAY!

ENTER BY FRIDAY, DECEMBER 23RD

LEAVING A COMMENT ABOUT WHAT CHRISTMAS MEANS TO YOU

Christmas to me is a time for hope, courage, inspiration, kindness and a reflection on our love for Christ and why his birth is significant not only in my life, but in a larger context to the world. Many of us may be finding it difficult to be encouraged during these uncertain times as we watch so much suffering in humanity. Just turn on the news at any given time and the world can appear pretty hopeless. But, what restores my hope are the stories people share in the midst of their own adversity. They aren’t giving up, instead they’re digging in deeper to their faith, into serving others and well, love. They are rising to the occasion, facing the odds with courage and believing in the purpose that God put in their hearts. Light does shine through darkness and the smallest glimmer can brighten our hearts just a little more, giving us inspiration to reach for the unattainable, not by our own strength, but through the strength of Jesus Christ. Over 2,000 years ago we received a miracle in the shape of a baby boy who came here to save all of us.

I believe in miracles and I find such comfort and  joy when people share their own miracles. That’s why  I’m thrilled to offer 2 DVD  Giveaways Sponsored through Grace Hill Media that embody hope, inspiration, courage and faith!

Deadline is Friday, August 5th

One of the greatest gift you can give another human being isn’t anything materialistic, it isn’t money it is simply to inspire them. When I reflect on the people who have inspired me some have been famous, but mostly they were humble, every day people who had the gift to inspire me through their words, actions and mainly their heart. My grandmother was a huge inspiration to me, although most would say she lived a pretty ordinary life, but I thought she was extraordinary. She lived her life being kind to all people, whether she knew them or not, she shared her faith in the most beautiful way, she was never judgmental and through her softness was a fierce strength that shined through. Although gone for almost seven years now, she still guides me everyday. That’s inspiration! Leaving those seeds that germinate even when you are no longer around.

When I think of inspiration, I also think of people with the odds stacked against them, who have been knocked down or have a disability or difficult circumstances and they overcome it with determination, grace and hard work. I think of my lovely friend who is in a wheelchair, but works out consistently to stay fit (much more than I do!) and has done extraordinary things regardless of the odds against her. I think fondly of a man from my church who is blind, yet gets up in front of our congregation on Sundays and leads our songs with his booming powerful voice, praising God. Then I think of his wife who is also blind, and gets on the metro in rush hour to go work in DC, which can be quite the challenge even for those of us who have our vision. I’m inspired by my friend, a single mom of a five-year old who is battling MS, but every day she takes care of her son, striving to give him everything he needs, never giving up, even when the exhaustion can bring her to her knees.  The courage and will of all these precious people inspire me to reach higher, to be better, and to examine myself to see how I can be an inspiration to others around me.

Need a little inspiration? Below is a clip of Rachel, a young adult from the cast of Born This Way on A&E. She faces the obstacles that come along with having Down Syndrome with courage, determination, and love and is a picture of inspiration. You can’t watch this and not be inspired. In these trying times I encourage you to surround yourself with inspiration whether it is with people, activities, and even television series like Born This Way that airs on A& E  10 PM/9 c.
